Casey's & Cumberland Adding E-15 To Hundreds Of Stores

ANKENY, Iowa -- Casey’s General Stores Inc. is adding E15, the 15% ethanol gasoline blend, to hundreds of new locations as part of a partnership with Prime the Pump.
Casey's, which has more than 2,000 c-stores, first tested E15 at 17 locations in 2017. The company plans to add E15 to potentially more than 500 locations over the next few years through its partnership with Prime the Pump, a nonprofit that assists fuel retailers with adding ethanol blends, and ethanol industry group Growth Energy.
“Since first rolling out E15, we’ve seen the benefit the biofuel blend offers in terms of value for our customers and a competitive advantage for our business,” said Nathaniel Doddridge, director of fuels for Casey’s. “We’re excited to partner with Prime the Pump and Growth Energy to build on the success and accelerate our offering of E15 to even more of our customers.”

- Cumberland Farms is adding E15, becoming the latest retail chain to introduce the 15% ethanol blend to its forecourt.
The convenience-store retailer is partnering with ethanol-industry group Growth Energy and Prime the Pump, a nonprofit that assists fuel retailers with adding ethanol blends, to introduce E15 to more than 120 locations in the Northeast. The Westborough, Mass.-based chain has nearly 600 c-stores in eight states.

"Other large retail chains that offer E15 include Kwik Trip Inc., Sheetz Inc., Kum & Go, RaceTrac Petroleum, QuikTrip, Murphy USA and Thorntons.
“We are ecstatic to be expanding our E15 family with Cumberland Farms,” said Emily Skor, CEO of Growth Energy, Washington, D.C. “Cumberland Farms will spread E15 access to new territory and will be giving more American drivers a cleaner-burning, engine-smart choice at the pump which will be available uninterrupted year-round.”

GERS Licensee Calgren, & GERS Partner Renewable Process Solutions Near Completion Of Co-Located Corn Oil Biodiesel Plant.

This is something GERS has been pushing for years. If the ethanol industry would've focused on innovating, instead of stealing GERS patented technology, co-located biodiesel systems would be paid for by now. Instead, many ethanol producers are losing money after blowing millions on a lawsuit they'll ultimately lose anyway. Biodiesel & big oil companies clearly benefitted from the valuable corn oil ethanol producers passed on to them.

Industry wide thievery has led to mounting losses, alienating investors, and stock prices a fraction of what they could be. I personally know investors that dumped all of their shares in patent infringing PEIX and AMTX as a result of this litigation. What a big mistake the industry made.

Congratulations to Calgren!

"Calgren produces about 2.5 million pounds of distillers corn oil (DCO) at its 58 MMgy plant, about half of what the biodiesel plant now under construction will consume, says Lyle Schlyer, president. Renewable Process Solutions’ supercritical technology is expected to produce a biodiesel with a carbon intensity (CI) score in the low 20s, earning attractive carbon credits. Construction on the plant is set to be completed in December."
