Judge Larry J. McKinney Dead

Senior U.S. District Judge Larry J. McKinney has died at age 73.   Our condolences to his family, friends and associates.

Judge McKinney, being a central figure in our legal story, this event is likely to lengthen the time to conclusion.  However in this story involving humans and many moving parts, it is hard to tell how the outcome will be eventually affected.  Although it likely will.

Unfortunate for friends and family to be sure. Now, however, very unlikely that new judge will not approve any settlement.

The more I think about this, the more I believe this plays into our favor. My guess is that the defendants are a little nervous now that McKinney is gone given the long history of appeals that have gone against his rulings in patent cases. Time will tell...
