Positive Movement on Possible 5th COES Patent
I recently projected (guessed) that GreenShift Patent Application 20080110577 "Method and systems for enhancing oil recovery from ethanol production byproducts" might be the next - the 5th GreenShift COES patent. Recent correspondence on the USPTO public pair suggests we have some positive movement. It seems that we are down to working on details over the phone with the examiner and it seems that portions of the Application are set to be allowed. I would think it may take a while for the entire application to be allowed - but it seems we are moving along in the right direction.

Gasoline, Ethanol, Diesel, Corn Oil, Headed Higher...
A big oil company was testing a small scale version of this algae project at their oil refinery.
GPRE talked about how they mixed corn oil and algae oil and reacted it into biodiesel. Now GPRE is working with BNSF to transport ethanol, biodiesel, corn oil, algae oil, etc...
Ethanol remains the cheapest motor fuel in the world.
Most people don't understand ethanol. They think it's dependent on the tax credit. It's not. The tax credit is given to the big oil companies that blend it, and they pass it on to the consumer in the form of cheaper gas. When it expires, gasoline prices will shoot higher. I've seen estimates between $.40 and $.80 a gallon higher. Ethanol producers will gain from this increase and the blending mandates ensure ethanol's consumption. Greenshift will gain as well as higher diesel fuel prices will increase demand for feedstocks like corn oil. There's no reason to give the oil companies another tax break for something they're required to blend anyway.
Another thing most don't understand is the MPG of E-10. The fact is, the gasoline in E-10 is subgrade 83-84 octane. This gasoline is such low grade that it can't be sold unless it's blended with ethanol. Ethanol's high octane raises the subgrade gasoline just enough to be able to sell it. It's not the same gasoline as regular and is the main reason for the MPG drop. Oil companies fought hard and failed to stop E-15 because they didn't want the public to realize that mileage goes up with E-15, since there's less subgrade gasoline in it. I've heard blends of E-20, E-30 have little to no difference in MPG. Even NASCAR has been reporting improved mileage with E-15. E-85 cars are designed to run on gas and tolerate high levels of ethanol. Engines that are designed to run on ethanol, not just tolerate it, get the same or better MPG's and that's a fact. These engines operate under high compression much like a diesel. In my mind, this is a big open door for new jobs. The less foreign oil we use keeps our money at home and strengthens our economy big time. The midwest was pretty much immune to the recession, thanks to biofuels.
Last I heard, Greenshift was hiring, which is a good sign. They're just growing so fast. We need all the jobs we can get

Thanks for the heads up on the new patent. That's welcome news. My question is, I read something about the filing on tuesday and was wondering what you think. I read a very common reason for an NT 10-Q is a merger or acquisition, which prevents results from being incorporated in time for the filing. The other filings have been on time this year. Do you think this could mean something like that? They've been so silent lately. Scratching my head here. TIA

Wow revenue beat the majority vote, topping $6 million and. Yielding $2.66 mill in profit, with continued growth in the signing of licensees and the ramping up of their productions I think the growth and profitability trend will continue.
I see it as growth in the corporate value as revenues and profitability rise and debt is eliminated.
and the stock still doesnt move upwards ..if that doesnt move it nothing will
