Valero to use ICM AOS

Valero Renewable Fuels Company LLC, a subsidiary of Valero Energy Corporation, announced today its plan to install an ICM-patent pending, next-generation Advanced Oil System™ (AOS™) corn oil extraction system at four of its ethanol plants in the Midwest by the end of the first quarter of 2012.

Valero investing in extraction system at ethanol plants

Valero Renewable Fuels Company LLC, a subsidiary of San Antonio-based Valero Energy Corp. Valero Energy Corp,

The investment will enable the plants — in Albert City, Charles City, Fort Dodge and Hartley, Iowa — to recover more than a half-pound of oil per bushel of corn. The installation gives the plants an additional revenue source besides ethanol and distillers’ grains. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Following the rollout, set for completion early next year, Valero Renewables will consider installing the equipment at another five of its ethanol plants.

Great find. IF Valero has licensed GERS technology this news could be what KK was counting on to keep the PPS from falling post R/S. On the other hand, (I know I am a gloomy Gus) if Valero is employing other technology that would not be good at all. I suspect that we will find out soon. This is huge(+/-) either way for GERS.

Hmmm I wonder who has the best system. Hmmm who did sunoco use. Whose system yields the best results.

I found it on the Valero web site. Not good at all. This means more litigation costs, this could mean that Valero attorneys agree that ICM technology is non pirating and places the outcome of the cururent litgation in question, this means that GERS will not be recognized as the sole provider of this technology, and will probably result in more dilution to pay for this litigation. Not good at all.

icm has an AOS system....it is more advanced then GERS...it has a patent pending and Valero went with that technology...we are doomed!

Is possible they are going with ICM for equipment and install, but will license with GreenShift as they did with Green Plains.
