Green Plains joins Billion Gallon Club; acquires Global Ethanol for $169M
Two things the SkunK finds interesting here. The first is the reminder that GreenShift is within striking distance of joining that exclusive "Billion Gallon Club" mentioned above - by having 1B gallons of Ethanol Production under contract for corn oil production.
The second is how Green Plains, a public company, decided to structure the Global deal:
"The definitive agreement provides that the proposed acquisition will be accomplished through a merger of a newly formed wholly-owned subsidiary of Green Plains with Global."
For those who have seen something odd whenever GreenShift creates a "newly formed wholly-owned subsidiary" to do a big deal, may find it enlightening that it is a common structure method among public companies doing a merger or acquisition.

I have been a long time supporter of GERS, and I still believe in its potential, but am getting frustrated with the PPS.
Could you offer some analysis of why the PPS keeps dropping and if/when it will stop!?
I really don't understand who would be selling. Sure, I would understand no one buying, but if they aren't adding shares, then the price should stay static.
I'm looking for some bigger picture ideas here on whats going on. I don't believe GERS is a "scam", but someone must be benefiting here, right?
There is no equity in this company and the legal battle is a scheme to get cash to try and stay afloat. People been turning corn oil out for years for human and animal consumption so how could this be patentable just because it is from a new end product like ethanol?
Sell now if you want to get anything. If we lose this legal battle, we are done for!
Edison the scamster tried the same thing. Remember that incandesent bulb scam? People had been turning out light for years, using wood fires, whale oil lamps and coal gas street lights. So how could that stupid bulb thing invention be patentable just because it is from a new end product like electricity??
Sell now in all the edison electric utilities if you want to get anything. If we lose this legal battle I initiated against Consuludated Edison, you are done for!

is the same guy driving down the stock PPS by printing the shares to sell, price breaks 20% print 25% more shares the math makes sense soon to offer up a new reverse split. please. right now we are spectators with the most expensive seats watching the home team take a beating. owner of the shareholder with the biggest frown award. :(
