ICM @ NEC '13

ICM, normally a big participant at the National Ethanol Conference, with six registered participants last year, presently has only a single entry:

ICM, Inc. Dave Vander Griend President & CEO Colwich Kansas United States

  1. So, where is the money going to come from to pay the award? Keep chortling folks -- we may be winning the battles but we could lose the war. If we get no monetary damages from this litigation (remember there are no debtor's prisons in this country) we have little hope of recovering the value of this technology.

  2. ....I was wondering about how ICM actually got the technology. Now it makes sense, they bought the machines from greenshift after greenshift applied for the Patents and then went about marketing and selling the machines to third parties as if it was their technology. I don't think ICM has a foot to stand on. All greenshift has to do is show they had a business relationship with ICM after the patents were applied for and that is all she wrote. Of course ICM has to try to defend themselves and the companies they sold the technology to. Ooch, once ICM loses I can see the companies they sold to also suing them to recoup their money and any possible losses. WOW, I would not want to be ICM!

  8. He's not through with the 37% figure he got from his Son, the Intellectual Properties Lawyer. Dead Horse Flogger! Amoung other abnoxious personal patterns. You haven't heard the last of the "No Debtors Prison" and the Cliche about being too big to be sued. I read today that Korte & Luitjohan won their case in the 7th Cuircuit Court against the US Govt! Pretty Big Win! I knew Ralph Korte when he carried his lunch to work in a Syrup Can! Wish Him the Best with this Lawsuit! Of course, as Nobody (Often) says, Litigation is subject to being overturned on appeal. Well prepared Cases seldom, shoddy ones more freuently.
AVERAGING 37% according to a Notorious source of half-baked Theories and Conjecture! DHOLE

  9. It is only a rumor, but I hear whispers that one of the attendees is not coming this year. She didn't give her reasons. Don't know if she is still on the payroll or not! Lot of employees ware dumped in a couple of purges last year.

  11. Does the lack of a presence of KK at this meeting have any significance? Did he attend last year? This is an important meet and greet time for the industry, is KK losing interest?

  14. The imbecilic comments that have been posted on this blog are, I am afraid, indicative of the intelligence and character of many of the GERSlanders. People with low mental capacity frequently resort to snorts and grunts when confronted with messages they do not like or understand as they are incapable of presenting anything cogent to counter those messages. We do need a new class of cadets; this one has become so classe populaire that they cannot even approach their bourgeois aspirations.

  16. I too grow tired of Nobody's imbecilic comments and those of his little neanderthal friends that followed him over here from yahoo. Would be refreshing to hear anything that has not been repeated at least a couple hundred times!

  20. Will the court be able to extract penalties from infringers like POET....or, will GERS have to sue them seperately over infringement?

  35. Algae Bioreactor

GreenShift's patented and patent-pending bioreactor process uses thermophillic cyanobacteria to consume carbon dioxide emissions. The organisms use the available carbon dioxide in the emissions and water to grow and give off oxygen and water vapor. The organisms also absorb nitrogen oxide and sulfur dioxide. Once the organisms grow to maturity, they fall to the bottom of GreenShift's bioreactor where they can be harvested for extraction and conversion into value added carbon neutral products

    ReplyDelete
  36. How it Works
All photosynthetic organisms need the following to live and grow: a supply of CO2, light, a growth media and water with nutrients. GreenShift's Algae Bioreactor has the potential to reduce the costs of and technical barriers to managing the flow resources into, through and out bioreactor in a compact and cost-efficient way as compared to other algae bioreactor technologies.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Concentrated CO2 is captured and piped to the bioreactor. The sunlight is then collected using efficient parabolic mirrors that transfer and filter the light to a series of light pipes. The light pipes channel the light into the bioreactor structure where it is distributed and radiated throughout the structure using light panels. The organisms we use require as little as 1.5% direct light which means that our collected light can be distributed over a substantial surface area. Next, a growth media, such as polyester, is inserted between each lighting surface. Water, containing nutrients, continuously cascades down the growth media to facilitate the final required step for optimal growth.

    ReplyDelete
  38. To harvest the new biomass, the flow rate of the water over the growth media is increased slightly to remove a portion of the algae, allowing a portion of algae to remain and to begin the next growth cycle. The removed algae is then collected and routed for conversion into value added carbon neutral products. Our technology is also very flexible and can accommodate a variety of algae types. High starch, high oil, or high cellulose algae can be grown in our bioreactor depending on output requirements.

    ReplyDelete
  39. GreenShift's commercialization plan for this technology is to co-locate bioreactors at corn ethanol production plants and other fermentation processes where concentrated supplies of carbon dioxide naturally emit and are relatively easy to capture and control. We plan to leverage our existing extraction platform and presence in the U.S. ethanol industry to reduce capital and go-to-market costs.
