I do not want it to seem like I keep taking cheap shots at the lawyer-ing for the defense. But Yeepers, they just keep making mistake after mistake. I got a feeling we will here more about these . . .
SkunK
PS Yesterday I went on and on about how much NEW history was released in the document. Apparently it should not have been. Much of it (should?) have been redacted. Will Greenshift move to censure the defense? Or will the judge beat them to it? Or was the mistake excessive redacting? Still another (lesser?) legal offense by the defense.

ReplyDeleteIn my judgement the moderator you reference is emotionally wedded to the PPS of GERS and has difficulty seeing the problems ahead and does not want them discussed. But several posters here and elsewhere suffer from that lack of vision and objectivity, so I would not be too hard on them. This has been a very difficult slog for GERSlanders and I am afraid the road ahead is still torturous, perhaps even cataclysmic -- expect more of this understandable sensitivity.
ReplyDeleteGo ahead "Techgass", keep posting shit on ihub and see how long it stays up! Most people learn after a few posts, but not a "chart head" like you. I think it's great that you seem to have Nobody's support, you were made for each other!

Another Industry Leading COES Record .95 pounds!$!$!$
ReplyDeleteThere's a new world record for corn oil extraction that is higher than BIOF's .9 pounds.
Another GERS' licensee has set a new record of .95 pounds per bushel with GERS' method I.
As I said before, every drop of corn oil is very crucial during this drought. .95 pounds is miles ahead of the .5 to .6 pounds that the other guys are doing. This record, however, will soon give way to a new record, 1.33 pounds with method II by the end of the year.
I'll fill everyone in with the details shortly.
Good Luck To All!$!$!$!$
GERS Q312 Report
ReplyDeleteI'm pleased with the continued progress this company is making.
Although GERS pretty much broke even in the report, -$40K -$0.00 cents per share, there's a few things that stood out.
GERS spent nearly $300K on research and development. This is a good sign to see them continue with the development of new process technologies. It's something we haven't seen in a long time. GERS would've reported a profit without the R+D expense but again, I'm excited they're moving forward with the new technologies.
In the previous Q's, GERS' revenue had contributions from equipment and installations like Sunoco and ABE, Nebraska. Most recently, in Q212, I believe Advanced BioEnergy's system installation in S. Dakota added to GERS' revenue.
Q312 didn't have any equipment sales but I think Q412 will.
If you look at inventories, they've ramped up from $1.18M in in Q1 to $1.8M in Q2 and are now at $2.2M in Q3. My best guess is revenues will jump higher in Q4 as this equipment is sold for the method II system coming online by the end of the year.
Cash on hand is now $1.7M, up from $1.47 in Q2 and $883K in Q1.
As of the end of Q312, GERS had cash of $.037 cents per share.
Remember Q3 is the quarter when plants shut down for routine repairs. Producers did scale back production a bit, especially the smaller ones. GERS also paid some one time startup fees to the inventors for new systems that came online in the quarter.
" the highest-performing systems packages available, and access to new technologies for further gains in licensee profitability and competitive advantage. We will continue to expand our patent portfolio. We have many additional patents pending and we remain committed to developing new technologies to further enhance the profitability of our licensees. "
" In addition, future results may be improved by the impact of event-driven systems integration contracts as we continue to receive significant interest for our engineering and other services in connection with the design, construction, integration and modification of corn oil extraction systems and other new systems for existing and prospective licensees. We are currently party to a number of such agreements which can be expected to contribute to revenue during 2012."
"Revenue in future periods can be expected to increase as our licensees commence and achieve full production, but will remain subject to variance in connection with a number of factors, including the rate at which our existing and new licensees commence production, the amount of corn oil that our licensees produce, the market price for that corn oil, the extent to which we collect reasonable royalties, and the degree to which we provide event-driven systems integration services to our licensees involving the design, construction, integration and modification of licensed technologies."
"The reduction in costs of goods sold was mostly due to decreased systems design and construction activities during 2012 as compared to last year. These decreases were offset by increased royalty expenses recorded in connection with our increased licensed production."
"We expect to achieve increased economies of scale with respect to our costs of sales and gross profit as all of our existing licensees commence production and as we execute new licenses for our various technologies."
Good Luck To All!$!$!$!$
So I think the big thing about Q3 is that it lacked equipment sales. Q4 will again have equipment sales as well as increased volumes from our largest customers. GPRE already said they'll operate at 93% capacity in Q4, up from 87% in Q3. I do think these higher yields of .95 pounds per bushel are the new trend and they're something that unlicensed producers will suffer without. I expect to soon learn about the new technologies GERS has been spending R+D money on that they say will contribute to revenues in 2012.

EPA Rejects States' RFS Waiver Requests
ReplyDeleteThis is excellent news for the industry and our country.
NEW YORK (DTN) -- The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday denied a request from several governors to waive the Renewable Fuels Standard, saying the agency had found no evidence to support claims the RFS had created "severe economic harm."
The decision was based on economic analyses and modeling done in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Energy, the EPA said in a news release.
"We recognize that this year's drought has created hardship in some sectors of the economy, particularly for livestock producers," said Gina McCarthy, assistant administrator for EPA's Office of Air and Radiation. "But our extensive analysis makes clear that Congressional requirements for a waiver have not been met and that waiving the RFS will have little, if any, impact."
To support the waiver decision, EPA conducted several economic analyses, the agency said. Economic analyses of impacts in the agricultural sector, conducted with USDA, showed that on average waiving the mandate would only reduce corn prices by approximately 1%. Economic analyses of impacts in the energy sector, conducted with DOE, showed that waiving the mandate would not affect household energy costs.
EPA found evidence failed to support a determination that implementation of the RFS mandate during the 2012-2013 time period would severely harm the economy of a state, a region, or the United States, the standard established by Congress in the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
Pro-ethanol groups, which include Growth Energy and the Renewable Fuels Association, were opposed to any RFS waiver, arguing such a step isn't necessary because the RFS law already has flexibility to deal with tight feedstock and domestic supply issues, and that a waiver could undermine ethanol investments, especially for advanced fuels.
The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 expanded federally mandated renewable fuel volume targets to 36 billion gallons by 2022, which increase annually until that year known as the RFS. Congress has also given EPA the authority to include provisions that allow the EPA administrator to grant a full or partial waiver if implementation of the RFS would severely harm the economy or environment of a state, region, or the entire country, or if EPA determines that there is inadequate domestic supply of renewable fuel.
Poet CEO Jeff Lautt said: "The EPA today made a sound decision in denying a waiver of the Renewable Fuel Standard. As studies have shown, a waiver would have likely had little to no impact on commodities prices in the aftermath of the recent drought. This effort was nothing more than the latest attempt by renewable fuel opponents to undermine policy that has helped make America stronger."
He added: "Today's decision means the Renewable Fuel Standard remains strong and stable policy, and our industry can move forward with greater confidence, continuing to invest in new technology to make biofuels production even more efficient and commercializing fuel production from cellulosic feedstocks such as crop residue and other plant material."

Change in DDG Nutrients Less Than Expected
ReplyDelete"While a recent dried distillers grains nutrient survey showed some changes in the past 10 years, there were less changes than expected given the increasing trend toward reduced-oil DDG, according to an article by Ethanol Producer.
The survey, completed by the University of Minnesota Animal Science Department, involved nutrient profiles from 159 DDG samples, which were taken every three months for a year from 42 Midwestern ethanol plants. Wet and dry distillers grains were evaluated.
The biggest change was the increased variability in fat content, due largely to various technologies with varying efficiencies used by plants to extract corn oil. Fat content in samples ranged from 5% to 14%, with an average of 11% on a dry matter basis.
The average protein content in the recent survey was 31%, higher than the previous study done 10 years ago which was about 30%. Oil extraction had the biggest effect in higher protein samples, between 35% and 42% protein. There was a sizeable variation in protein levels between plants, but little variation from samples taken throughout the year at each plant.
A recent distillers grains nutrient survey shows some change from a similar one done 10 years ago, although perhaps not as much as might be expected, given the number of ethanol plants removing corn oil. The survey was recently completed by the University of Minnesota Animal Science Department.
Devan Paulus Compart, a research assistant in the beef unit, said the average protein content was higher, at 31 percent, than the previous study which showed an average 30 percent protein. The impact of oil extraction was seen, however, in the higher protein samples, with several at 35 percent protein and the highest at 42 percent protein. While there was quite a variation in protein levels from plant to plant, she added, there was little variation within a particular plant’s samples taken during the year.
Nutrient profiles were analyzed from 159 distillers grains samples, taken every three months for a year from 42 ethanol plants in nine Midwestern states. Wet and dry samples were evaluated. The study duplicated the methodology of one done 10 years earlier, although not necessarily gathering samples from the same plants.
In the other nutrient profiles examined, Paulus Compart said the fiber content of the distillers grains samples spanned a wide range, from 26 to 47 percent neutral detergent fiber on a dry matter basis, with the average being 34 percent. “A wide range like that is to be expected and comes from both the corn and the processing methods,” she said. Phosphorus content is up from previously reported levels. The average was 0.89 percent on a dry matter basis, with a minimum of 0.44 and maximum of 1.27 percent. The greater phosphorus content is a benefit in rations, although higher calcium supplementation will be needed to balance the minerals. The average sulfur content of the distillers grains samples was consistent with previous research.
The biggest change was the increased variability in fat content, due to ethanol plants adopting different technologies with varying efficiencies in extracting corn oil on top of variation in the concentration of solubles added to distillers grains. The fat content in the samples ranged from 5 to 14 percent with an average of 11 percent fat on a dry matter basis.
“Nutrient profiles of distillers grains are highly variable,” Paulus Compart said, adding that is likely to continue as ethanol producers adopt new technologies to improve their process. She recommends livestock feeders check the nutrient profile annually if the distillers grains source remains the same. The nutrient profile of distillers grains should always be determined if the distillers grains source is changed, she added."

Good Luck To All!$!$!$!$!$
And we are still 70% below last year's PPS.
ReplyDeleteSlash whos doing .95 #??
ReplyDeleteagain the only useful contribution to this marvelous blog is done by Slahnuts, kudos.
ReplyDeleteWho cares where stock price was last year or 5 years ago.
Every Q I see progress. I'm very happy with GERS.
United Ethanol Extracts .95 Pounds Per Bushel!$!$!$
ReplyDeleteGERS has always said that more than .9 pounds was possible with method I. Now we have proof from two of GERS' customers. I think this level of extraction is the new norm. .95 pounds is 95% higher than the claimed .5 pounds of the ICM AOS. It's no wonder Valero has not installed the AOS at the rest of their plants. Unlicensed producers will suffer without the best technology. For example, Valero is shutting plants down while GPRE is increasing production.
There's growing confidence that removing more oil doesn't lower the value of the feed as many first thought. It makes it a better higher protein feed that's easier to digest. In fact, with method II, the remaining oil in the DDGS will be more aligned on a percentage basis with the level that's naturally available in a kernel of corn. Method II will be online next month and it's yields are 165% higher than the .5 pounds of the AOS.
“We are always reviewing ideas to optimize our milling output
conversion,” commented Dan Shickles, assistant manager.
“Currently, we are testing different screen-size confi gurations.”
According to Shickles, the added benefi ts to enhancing the grind
(tightening the screen size) should improve our fermentation yield,
as the enzymes will not have to work as hard to break down the
starch molecule. “We’ve also been successful in recovering more
corn oil by adding our emulsion breaker to different locations in
the process.” Now, United Ethanol is recovering corn oil at a rate
of .95 pounds per bushel, up from .68 in previous months. “With
tight margins, we continue to work with vendors to assist in price
reductions, and we’re always reviewing opportunities to produce
ethanol in a way that will improve yield,” added Shickles.
“During our fall maintenance shutdown, we completed some
preventative maintenance and inspected equipment that is
always in operation,” commented John Minard, maintenance and
grain handling manager.
Through Sept. 30, United Ethanol produced
32,638,222 gallons of undenatured ethanol. We
also produced 92,350 tons of dry distiller’s grain,
4,562 tons of wet distiller’s grain, 44,461 tons of
liquefi ed carbon dioxide, and extracted 7,173,423
pounds of corn oil.
http://www.unitedethanol.com/images/E0135601/UENovember2012NewsletterforWeb.pdf
P.S. It's my understanding that United extracted in the .6 range during Q3, so the .95 pounds is what they're doing "now" in Q4.

puzzie petalman continues to monitor and delete all i-hub postings that fail to agree with his limited abilities....george orwell editing at work...puzzie is opposed to free speech and technical analysis...
ReplyDeletetruely a moron with too much control for it to handle...
All of this great news and the PPS flounders, all the great yields by our customers and our revenue falls, all the court successes and the litigation drones on, all the urgency to prevent a calamity without new financing and silence prevails while hopes for a white knight abound. Merry Christmas to all and to all a long four months.
ReplyDeleteIt was bad enough with one idiot posting his shit everyday, now we have two! Only this new one thinks posting crap about his "puzzie" is technical.
ReplyDeletepetalman is that puzzie at i-hub that blocks all technical posting...why he is to dull to grasp the purpose...he likes to average down for 5 years and bash objective analysis...and, he is allowed to be the monitor there...so ignorance will always rule...
ReplyDeleteNot true, if ignorance ruled, you would be king!
ReplyDeleteYou're latest ihub message deleted. Happy now?
ReplyDeletepetalman deletes every post at i-hub that he is not a fan of...he is an idiot monitor...he lies and says he does not delete but some other mystery person does it....
ReplyDeletepuzzie fart crap head lyer
i succeeded in getting petalman puzzie banned at i-hub for being cruel and stupid to posters contrary to his view of how to loose money investing...they placed me on hold for 2 weeks to cool off from his and dennis5 attacks...that is fine...i am a technician and gers is NOT in solid chart pattern yet....
ReplyDeleteThe same Admin Officials Techgass claims to have complained to are now deleting his posts because he's too stupid to realize they are "off - topic". What a frickin moron! Lyer? I hate dealing with children who never learned how to spell.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit also that I'm a happy GERS investor. In many ways they are maturing.
ReplyDeleteSeems like some people cant get past the fact that this is still a start up so they get exactly what they deserve for their investment. I'm happy that there is actually only a very few complainers, though they do (complain)have "questions" a lot every day.
i took down the reign of suppresive terror by dennis5 and puzzie petalman over at I-hub...
ReplyDeletethey no longer may bash and delete posters who do not share their veiw and desire to loose a fortune by entering this issue 5 years prematurely....
puzzie is shut up finally....
technically this is consolidating on low volume...no conviction up or down yet
bully putz puzzie petalman is done at i-hub....i worked my ass off to show how abusive to thinking people he is...he is ignorant of technicals and thus like a midieval moron he rejects and bullies the party posting it for free...he contributes stupid inane quips that contribute nothing,,,why, petalman and dennis5 have nothing....empty morons that cannot even take free technical analysis for what it is, because it threatens their status quo of comfortable ignorance
ReplyDeleteyou will see now with petal puzzie and dennis5 gone, that nobody will no longer be needlessly bullied and may freely express and contribute as it should have always been
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought Nobody was nuts.....this Techturd is frickin insane! I am Petalman and I have not been "banned" or anything else from ihub. The only thing I can figure out is they put a restriction on HIM for all the personal attacks and off topic remarks. Is he so crazy that he takes what has been done to him and twists it to reflect it has been done to others? What a whack job!!
ReplyDeleteYou should see the screwed up posts that were removed! He wrote that he dared someone to take them down, over and over. This guy reminds me of Jack Nicholson in The Shining, "Here's Johnny!".....
Also.......
ReplyDeleteTechturd knows nothing about my investing strategy. I had no problem with his posting about chart trends, the problem began when he started calling people names if they disagreed with him.
I am afraid that your characterization of me may cloud the perception of you. Any that disagrees with you is nuts. You have not painted a very pretty picture.
ReplyDeleteI never said "Any" that disagrees with me is nuts. You are paraphrasing your screwy friend. There are so many similarities between you two that it is uncanny. Do you even remember only a few weeks ago when Techturd turned his wrath on YOU?
ReplyDeletewell hearing puzzie petalman idiot do what he does best is amusing...a bully screamer jagging out and in a rage....i like it ...always knew you were ignorant and a stinking beast...
ReplyDeleteall this time that nobody was bullied by you and several others....such a lack of humanity in your foul skin..
I do not take those things personally, a characteristic you would do well to emulate.
ReplyDeletei do not like their trend toward bullying anyone and using shallow quips as a brow beating tactic...
ReplyDeleteAwwww....poor Nobody being bullied and brow beaten, guess Techturd wasn't around while you were "pimping the cadets" or chastising the "choir", huh?
ReplyDeleteAdmonishment where it was due and valued -- sorry your little ego could not take it. That in itself proves the value.
ReplyDeletelook all...see with on your own...the beast aapears to spit its vile poisen....it is what it is....a bully withoput a brain or contribution...so dull that it must bully a technician...because that world it will never grasp....
ReplyDeletepuzzie petalman is it time to short the markts for the next leg down...or do you just guess regarding that as well...
Admonishment where it was due my ass! You have commented on this very board how you enjoyed the heck out of it. You have called people every demeaning name you could think of. Even now, you write about my "little ego" in an effort to cut me down.
ReplyDeleteYou are pure EVIL! Get thee behind me Satan! (and your little demon dog Techturd too!)

You shouldn't write while looking in the mirror.
ReplyDeletecause and effect remains little bitch...you have bullied people for months....i never did..
ReplyDeletesuck it bitch
I tire of this dribble, dueling with two mindless idiots. Going back to the real board now. Care to join me Techturd? Oh, that's right. You can't!
ReplyDeleteyou werent bullied or you should care....i can go back to i-hub because it was part of my cool down time i agreed to in order to eject the puzzie bully...small price pin brain
ReplyDeleteAnony 1:37, I do stand corrected; I should have stated "your bruised little ego".
ReplyDeletepetalman puzzie willa lways get what months of bullying has earned it....i will never relent in pounding that little sucker bitch...
ReplyDeletecause and effect...ONLY PETALMAN and DENNIS5 bully people at I-Hub....they started with me recently...i will now prosecute them for ever....
if people over here condone dumb bullies then align youself and let it begin and never end...history teaches us that bullies are weak....i will continue to demonstrate that fact...
i wanted to contribute technical updates daily for free because of my interest with gers and for that unbelievably they gave me months of shit....
done...
i will now pound on them relentlessly..
little dull headed puzzie farts that they are...
imagine the dullness, bashing objective technical analysis...they were so dull they could not figure out how to count dilution when i explained it 6 or 7 times...
they would scream madness over the proposition that it could even be analysed....
Kind of hard to be relentless when they won't allow you to post anything, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteDUMBASS!!
an anonymous bully bitch...so easy to flush them out...it brags about being a bully feels no remorse is truely hollow and sociopathic....history teaches us this exact profile...
ReplyDeletespit more vile bile and expose your self to all to view the beast that becomes you...
your brudish mind needs a court of law to explain that that you alone are the cause of the backlash that you produce and now must accept......but, you can only attack those that dare stand up to your stanky puzzie dickless one...
this is a bullies profile, kick those that protest until they stop...i do not stop puzzie...you should not bully...i endured it for several months and thats enough i am done....so go for it you stanky chimpazee puzzie...

ReplyDeletei gave you warnings and time to improve but your beligence escalated because you naturally interpret reason as weakness...you two will get no weakness from me...i used it up long ago
like most little puzzie bully bitches they hide behind annonymous posts....but when they occasionally pull back the veil it is pure pig breath and raspy evil...they prefer to hide and snipe people with bully methods that are simple minded and shallow and worthless yet they attack people who simply are reading a chart...and the good people here accept that?...
ReplyDeleteas long as you are not in disagreement to their fundemental factoid method you feel ok to stand by?
Techtard don't u have a job are in nobodies mom s basement too asking for meatloaf
