  1. The number of plants that extract the most corn oil has changed dramatically from 2011, when only 2 percent of ethanol plants produced distillers grains containing less than 7 percent corn oil, to today, with 28 percent of plants producing distillers grains containing less than 7 percent corn oil.

i assume these are GERS licencees --- the BEST!

  4. Great article. Looking forward, I believe a portion of the DDGS will be gasified to offset the power consumption of ethanol plants. Zeropoint technology comes to mind. This will entail the majority of the oil being extracted first. The amounts of oil extracted will continue to increase into the future.

  8. Corn LP Q412 Update: Record Production, Corn Oil Operating Very Well

As 2013 gets into full swing we are starting to see crush
margins improve much sooner than what was anticipated, or
    even budgeted.

Another positive development I would like to share with you
is that through the first two months of operations this year our
bottom line is $625,000 better than what it was last year at this
time, with February even showing a profit.

Indeed, for an even sharper perspective, consider that based
on the average market price of natural gas in 2012, had we converted
the plant to natural gas on January 1, 2012 and operated
on natural gas throughout last year, we could have saved
enough money on operations to show a bottom line at or near
    a breakeven for the year.

The CORN, LP plant concluded the 2012 year on December
31st having once again set a new record for the production of
ethanol with 60.9 million gallons of product manufactured.
As I have been reporting to you in my Coach’s CORNer articles
in the three previous issues of The CORN Connection, the
plant has been running virtually flawlessly quarter to quarter,
and this 4th quarter was yet another one in which production
    and performance were outstanding.
Our corn oil system and the equipment we have installed for
this additional venture have also been operating very well, and
with the continued attention of the Energy Center and Dave
Lensing, we have achieved a very good on stream time and a
    very good rate of production.

  9. Slash,

Do you think that this type of information can generate enough interest to prevent the next R/S?

  16. We are now in a stage that even if one of the lightening strikes occur (such as a SJ) that many are waiting for it, is going to many months for the PPS to recover to even the post R/S price of 0.10. The reasons are simple; many millions of shares (and more coming into the market) below 2 cents that will create a great deal of trading activity below a nickel (if/when the PPS starts to move), the inevitable selling into the uptick by the company and/or lenders that will place downward pressure on the PPS (more dilution), the image that this company is tainted (that will be solidified by continued dilution post event) will take some to overcome, and the time it will take for any award from the event (SJ) to make into a SEC filing.

So it is many months to years before one of our events that we all look to is going to occur, and many months after that before we will likely be in post R/S territory. If you are not under 60 it is could be that this investment is for your children.
