ReplyDeleteMy prediction long ago that POET would not get around GERS' patents and that POET's patent would be denied has come true.
POET's pending patent has been denied again (3rd time). I reported on this final rejection a few months ago. With a final rejection, comes a chance to appeal. POET appealed the final rejection and that appeal was denied on 12-12-12. POET has zero patents for corn oil extraction. The pending patent they bragged about is now dead in the water and worthless.

Greenshift's pioneering portfolio of patents have gained strength with POET's 3rd and final denial. Not even the largest ethanol producer in the world could get around GERS' patents. ReplyDeleteSlash- I agree it's good thing POET doesn't have a patent, but don't think it's as positve for GERS as you spin it. I've read the rejection and it seems to me some of the logic that their design was not novel could be used by infringers against GERS. I know GERS patents are already issued, but as we've seen the infringers will grasp at any argument they can.

ReplyDelete2) Any one think that Poet is just going to roll over and pay royalties for something they are getting for free now just because a few government bureaucrats sent them a piece of paper? We are years away and millions of dollars of legal fees away before that is going to happen. Too bad we didn't get stock certificates, we could give them to our grandchildren, as they are the ones who may cash in.
But what about the investors with Poet...Soon they will want to increase profits from simply plugging in a machine!
