"U.S. drivers used 2.8 percent less motor gasoline last year and consumed the smallest amount since 1999, the U.S. Department of Energy said Wednesday. Officials credited the decrease to more fuel-efficient cars and an aging population taking few trips."
“We’re a captive of the gasoline market,” said Rick Brehm, president of Lincolnway Energy in Nevada.
“If overall gasoline demand is down, which it is, we’ll sell less ethanol.”

As ethanol production peaks or even slides back due to the lack of gasoline demand, the amount of corn oil available for extraction does the same. Luckily, I have read nothing yet to suggest that there is a glut of corn oil. If the demand for corn oil remains strong, while the ethanol demand weakens, ethanol producers will be pushed to extract additional oil per bushel of corn to maintain profitability.

PS Lincolnway Energy is in Nevada, Iowa and they are one of the original defendants in the GERS COES Litigation.

This may be correct in the US, but we are exporting more ethanol now to other countries than ever.

Skunk,
I want to ask your permission to use the greenshift-gers.com domain to setup a message board. I've noticed that there has been a lot of petty name calling and useless banter in your comments sections as of late and would like to have a place for civil discussion. I, in no way, mean to detract interest in your blog, but feel there is a need for another medium for discussion. I know that you do not own the domain, but seeing as how it is the basis for your blogspot domain, I feel compelled to get your blessing before pursuing it further.
Thank you,
BillV
BillV, "civil discussion" is a relative term. One man's incivility is another man's paradise. Sometimes the useless bantor, as you put it, has a few gems hidden inside. If you do go solo with your message board be prepared to have a completely one sided conversation with you Neil and Nobody.

That's fine.

Hey skunk do you have a website where you have other stock picks or another blog maybe. As I'm interested to know what your other picks might be.
Thank you Skunk. The discussion board is now live.
Bill,
How do we access it. Is it moderated?
